Re: Over think and over reactions

ooooo! @Freedom11 ! Congratulations on the job interview! All the best with it! Feeling anxious and excited at the same time is very normal for job interviews.

As for having a ball of fun with your daughter - I’m even a little bit jealous LOL! It’s sounds great that things are going well for now.

Take care and I look forward to hearing how the interview goes. Prepare yourself mentally that you may or may not get the job, and that’s OKAY.

Re: Over think and over reactions

@Freedom11 Its good to hear that your medications are working, it can be a long and daunting exercise to find the right combination that works best for you. Medication can make a WORLD of difference, it definitely saved my life, that's for sure. Getting your mental health to a manageable state takes time and perseverance, even the smallest of steps can seem overwhelming and progress can be frustratingly slow - but any change in the right direction is a change worth making. You've got this!

Re: Over think and over reactions

@jad1992 . So true. Getting on top of mental health is a challenge in it own let alone when you need medication to assist in that process. As we are all different. I have found with mine it's been an ups and downs battle for years. It's stable for a while then goes off the rails but having a good support network and an amazing doctor and specialist I'm slowly gutting there.

I'm learning to just take small steps and remembering that I'm still going forward. I tell myself every day I am better today then I was this time last week. A good friend of mine once told me small steps in the right direction is better than steps in the wrong direction. He also told me that some days it's ok to not take any steps to just pause and breath so long as we don't go backwards

Re: Over think and over reactions

Thank you for sharing @Freedom11 - This is so incredibly powerful! "A good friend of mine once told me small steps in the right direction is better than steps in the wrong direction. He also told me that some days it's ok to not take any steps to just pause and breath so long as we don't go backwards"

I'm going to write that down.

We all come together to help each other get through our battles and trying time and celebrate the achievements and good times.

Re: Over think and over reactions

How are things going @Freedom11 ?

Re: Over think and over reactions

@BPDSurvivor . Hi things are going alright for me atm.

I thought I was going for an interview yesterday but when I showed up for it they threw me straight into a medical. No interview at all. I should find out by Thursday if I have a job.

A close male find of mine missed me and wanted to catch up so he lent me some money so we could catch up which was so nice of him.

I started with a new therapist yesterday and she seems really good and compassionate and very understanding.  I see her in two week.

My best news for recently is I got to speak with my 13yr old son for the first time in 6months. Was so awesome to hear his voice and hear how well he is doing . He sounds so grown up now

Re: Over think and over reactions

Hi @Freedom11 ,

Thanks for your reply. I’m glad you got to speak to your son. Do you see him much?

Boys go through so many growth spurts. He’ll be taller too! He’ll have a huge appetite lol.

Have you heard back about the job? Or is it next Thursday you’ll hear?

Speak soon, BPDSurvivor

Re: Over think and over reactions

@BPDSurvivor  I hear how much my son has changed in his voice. I don't get to see him but I'm ok with that atm.

I went for the medical and I was unsuccessfully in the job. I reminded my self that there is always other jobs out there. I have another interview for a different job on Monday so I see how that goes.

I remind myself everyday that there is things in my life that are outside my control but I don't have to let them ruin my day.

Re: Over think and over reactions

That’s a really good way of viewing things @Freedom11 . For me, if I’m unsuccessful in something, I always tell myself it’s better they tell me early than if I put my whole heart and soul into it and then I realise it’s not for me.

It doesn’t mean I’m ‘not good’. It just means I’m not the best fit.

 Any plans for tomorrow?
