Re: resources
I just wanted to reach out to offer you some support 💜
That’s great that you’re searching for some different resources and as such, I just wanted to share a few things that may be helpful for you 💜
The first resource that comes to mind is an organisation called Beyond Blue 😊
Essentially, Beyond Blue provides support for people who are affected by depression, anxiety and suicide and as such, I’ve just shared the link to the section on their website where you’ll be able to find some information about depression 💜
https://www.beyondblue.org.au/mental-health/depression
Mental Health First Aid Australia also have some great resources and as such, they’ve put together some really comprehensive information about depression 💜
https://mhfa.com.au/sites/default/files/mhfa_depression-guidelines_sept2019.pdf
Black Dog Institute is another really great website that has a wealth of information about depression, bipolar disorder and PTSD 💜
httpw.blackdoginstitute.org.au/about/
Phoenix Australia provides a variety of information in relation to trauma and PTSD - including how to support someone who is living with this particular mental health condition 💜
https://www.phoenixaustralia.org/your-recovery/effects-of-trauma-ptsd/
Bipolar Australia not only provide information and resources about bipolar disorder, but they also provide some information about a couple of support groups too 💜
https://www.bipolaraustralia.org.au/bipolar-information
https://www.bipolaraustralia.org.au/support-groups
The Alcohol and Drug Foundation (ADF) provides a variety of information in relation to alcohol and other drugs which may also be helpful for you 💜
According to their website, ADF have the largest and most up-to-date alcohol and other drugs library in Australia and as such, they provides free access to a wide range of specialist print and online resources, including books, full-text articles from 11,000+ journals and databases 😊
As such, I thought that this may be a good place to start, as you’ll be able to search for the information that’s important to you 💜
https://adf.org.au/resources/adf-library/
I really hope that this helps you a little bit 💜
Take kind and gentle care of yourself,
ShiningStar 💜
