I feel you @Captain24. It's wild how ADHD and Autism can sometimes feel like total opposites that are fighting each other. I'm glad you've been able to make some sense of it. It's a slow and ongoing process to understand yourself. Always happy to chat and reflect on anything, particularly the ADHD / Autism combo. I know there's a bunch of people in the Forums who also have those two diagnoses too!

Oh that is a fun question @0ddsidian whilst also being a very evil question! 🤣🤣
I agree with your point about ice cream plus savour things. And ice cream is my favourite food, so I will have to prioritise what is OK on ice cream lol.
Maple syrup is a great idea, because it could mostly innocuously blend in as just abit sweet the other meals - like sugar syrup would.
I could possible do a peanut sauce too, but there are a few dishes that might be a bit weird with peanut flavour...
However for the sake of not taking your idea, I will select homemade peanut butter sauce 😛

So my answer is... Maple Syrup!
Honestly.... this is genius!! I sat here trying to come up with something better and the only reason I think honey would actually be my choice (even tho I LOVE maple syrup) is cos of the health benefits 😋
See, my logic is that sweet things can and do go with savoury - maple bacon pancakes, or maple in BBQ sauce, or like a dash in a stir fry even - would be so doable!! But I could NOT stomach some savoury sauce ruining every single dessert for the rest of my life. I just couldn't 😂
@AlwaysMyself okay now you've thrown me because peanuts ALSO go with both sweet and savoury!! HMMMMM 🤔

I think you are spot on with this one 🤣

I didn't get a notification or an email for the tag...
@avant-garde me neither, almost missed out on the sauce discourse!

Also, yes would totally wanna continue chatting about all things AuDHD - I wonder if we ought to start an AuDHD+ND masterthread.... not sure how easy to find the ADHD and Autism ones are, and might be better to combine em eh? 🤔
I also have to contend with the eating-for-stimulation conundrum. It's not a fun tale so I'll refrain but if anyone wants deets tag me in one of the above threads. Re-lensing and realising and learning all the ways our ND impacts us seems to be one of those ongoing experiences hey!!

I think most of my icebreaker questions could be considered both fun and evil, @AlwaysMyself 🤣
I think I stole the maple syrup idea from a participant in a group anyway, so it would only be fair for you to do the same. I think honey is also a good answer.
I think you're right about a peanut sauce of some kind. I think that would go great with both ice-cream and most savoury foods!

It's that time of the week again forum friends! 🥳
And this week, we're focusing on an icebreaker that's one of my absolute favourites and often explored in our recovery groups: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why? 🦹🪄
Mine would be the ability to click my fingers and be anywhere I need to be in an instant because the executive functioning doesn't always, erm, function. 😂 So this would be a very helpful power to have!
Which one would you choose? 👀 (Here's a list to get you thinking!)

I also love this particular icebreaker @AuntGlow. I generally pick teleportation as well, for the same reasons as you. But I think @Aegis said once that it would also be good for travelling and going on holidays, which says a lot about my brain that this wasn't my first thought when it came to teleportation haha

teleportation is my go-to answer as well haha. would love to escape to a new environment whenever i wanted. plus, like @0ddsidian @Aegis mentioned, i'd love to have free holiday that skips airport check-ins, taxi fees, crowded public transports, etc.
my other favs are invisibility and healing abilities!

I’m thinking I would choose invisible @rav3n @0ddsidian @AuntGlow. I already feel invisible being actually invisible would be good. Can go anywhere, be anywhere.
