Re: Icebreakers time!

All sorts @MoreHope from opera to rock, early music and instrumental, but not much pop. lol I have been a church musician most of my life. Singing can lift the spirits and soul, even if you are not strictly singing the soul genre. Have fun with the musical audition. Cos I was tall in a girls school, I had to sing the boy bits, like West side story. Now I sing tenor to mezzo. Music has a lot of power for good.

Re: Icebreakers time!

Thanks @Appleblossom.

Music sure does have power for good.

Oh, was it challenging for you to do the boy bits?

Re: Icebreakers time!

like all performances, the first solo of 4 lines I had, I opened my mouth to sing and nothing came out. lol. So, yes, but not because they were boy bits, mainly cos I was shy, I guess. @MoreHope Lol

Re: Icebreakers time!

Frog 20.

just holding on and hoping for the best at this point, hahahahahaha.

Re: Icebreakers time!

Hoping you're doing OK @SumatimeSadness (re: froggy holding on).

Im a bit delayed in seeing the new Ice Breaker from over a week ago. Something I am proud of today... 🤔 I did some extra housework on the weekend, I guess I can be "proud" of that? Although I think of it less as proud and more of "good on me!"

I tend to be "proud" more of my personal qualities. And I can be proud to say that if I knew me, I'd be happy to be friends with me. (That's my personal yardstick philosophy 😊.)

@ENKELI as an outsider perspective, I think you could possibly be proud of the supportive and valuable friendship you have here with @Glisten ?

And/or how welcome you make others like me feel when we join?

@Shaz51 i had no idea there was an electric organ! But it makes sense when I think about it.

@MoreHope @Appleblossom im imaging a SANE choir now 😛.

Re: Icebreakers time!

Aww thank you @AlwaysMyself I hope our girl @ENKELI is ok with her roof leaking and ceiling leaking. It hailed down her end of the valley. Not so bad up my end. 17mm of rain by 9am today.

The worst thing that happened to me was, I broke my titanium ear studs 😣

I am so unco’ changing earrings.

Re: Icebreakers time!

You broke titanium @Glisten ?? Wow! Isn't titanium meant to be super strong?? You can now say you are strong like Hulk! 🤣

Oh, I do hope @ENKELI is OK. Leaking roof, hail and rain is all very stressful. 😥 My thoughts are with you.

Re: Icebreakers time!

@AlwaysMyself  I’ve got sewing 🪡 needles thicker than this titanium earring shank.

I wasn’t a challenge to break.

Unfortunately I have man hands ✋🏼🤚🏼 😔
I lift two metre Jarrah timber beams 💪🏼 all day, most days.

I do a lot of woodworking and landscaping. @ENKELI said I would be a good dad. Which I am. So my children tell me. With the exception that I am a “naturally pretty” straight woman and a “good bloke” according to old fellas at the Men’s Shed.

🤷🏼‍♀️

Re: Icebreakers time!

Hmmm sounds a better story if you dont say the titanium shaft was thin! 😅 but indeed sounds like you are very strong @Glisten ! Very useful to have. 😊 I used to be quite strong, but after wrist injuries (steering wheel) I can't do heavy lifting or carrying without reaggraviating them, so I am not too strong anymore - but still stronger than my wrists can cope with lol.

I like jarrah wood 🥰😍. Its a nice colour.

I enjoy social woodworking. But im not talented in it 😆 never expect my corners to be properly square 😅.

I have also been told I'd be a great dad. But that is for my dad jokes 😉. But yeah, not a male either. But I dont mind having some male qualities 😊. I guess I'm just not caught up on gender much for myself - don't really feel its part of my identity of what makes me "me".

Re: Icebreakers time!

@AlwaysMyself  I can’t hand saw in a straight line 🙃

Gender, colour, ethnicity, age, I honestly don’t see it. I never think about it.

Hope it made my story funnier?

@AlwaysMyself a wrist injury like that is horrible. That is a mean steering wheel injury!

I was getting tennis elbow from sanding. I upgraded my tools and it doesn’t hurt anymore - YAY 🎉
