Re: Everyday is a battle to live

@elvie1. It's so hard when our suicidal thoughts become strong. That's why it's really important to reach out for help. You can call LifeLine & Beyond Blue.
Do you have any mental health specialists helping you? I find my psychologist helps me so much with trying to keep my negative self talk down & to try and focus on other things. Not always easy.
Being young, you might like to call Headspace who support youth with mental health concerns.
You can also contact your gp who can help you with referrals.
Keep posting here and talking on the forum. You're not alone.

Tonight I can't seem to chill

Re: Everyday is a battle to live

@Evie1. Do you think you might like to ph LifeLine tonight. Then you can talk to someone straight away. Their nbr is 13 11 14.
Are you able to take a few deep slow breaths? Just to calm down your breathing - if you are getting anxious. I find focusing on my breath can really help reduce my anxiety.

Re: Everyday is a battle to live

I still feel awful

Re: Everyday is a battle to live

hello @Evie1

How are you feeling today?

It is awful and frightening when those suicidal thoughts flash across our minds.

I do hope that you have an understanding doctor with whom you feel safe to talk.

Lifeline 131114 is always there for the immediate moment.

Your gp can also refer you to a psychologist or psychiatrist with whom you slowly build up trust. You only need talk about what you feel comfortable with as they gain your trust.

Please keep writing on here. There will always be someone who will pass by and respond.

take care   and know that even though you might feel so very alone, on here there are people listening.
