Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

Have you been able to start @Angels333? How do you feel about it?

Sorry I haven't been around. This week has been hard. I lost my pregnancy, it has been painful and I don't really know what to say. I'm grieving and still in physical pain. I'm also relieved, because it's been an awful time and it never felt right. I just knew this one wasn't for this world. Still hard though.

@outlander tagging you because you had checked in 💜

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

Darn! @Molliex I am devastated for you.

I am not well tonight myself but I have so much to say and I will write to you in the morning.

I'm sorry you and your family are in so much pain.

In the meantime know I am thinking about you constantly ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

I am a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and have been sober for 17 years except for half a glass of wine in 2009 when I separated from my husband and had a breakdown. You WILL get through this. If you are having trouble with alcohol you could zoom in on an AA Meeting - Google AATIMES and find a meeting online. Alcohol is no good if you're struggling with suicidal thoughts - I understand and I'm here for you. Linda

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

Hey @Molliex  I  read your post last night but it wasn't the right time for me to respond properly.

Did you manage to find a specialist psychologist?    Managing the grief will be a process.    I have never lost a baby but I have had so much other loss in my life.

I'm not even going to pretend that I have the right words but the only thing I do know is that you're my friend and you are in pain, both physical and emotional and I want you to know I am here for you.

To answer your question, yes I have started my course.   I am already overwhelmed but I am also determined to make it work.

What are you doing today?   Do you have something nice planned for self care?    Take your time and just take it easy.

Message me anytime,

Your friend,

XOXO ANGELS333

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

I love your determination @Angels333. I see it in how you face your SH and MH, and I'm sure you'll bring that same determination to your studies.

I'm going to be ok. I had some beautiful friends visit and bring flowers and hug me. I'm lucky to have support. I just need time to heal 💜

I'm going to wait and see how I go before seeking out someone to talk to. I have ended seeing my current psychologist though. He's been wonderful and probably saved my life, but I think we're at the natural end of our time. I have gotten what I can from him, and I found or last few seasons were a bit. stagnant. He's there whenever I need him, but he's happy for me.

Anyway that's all from me. Thanks for being there Angels.

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

Thank you @outlander 💖 @Angels333

I ended up in hospital and had emergency surgery overnight. It was really dramatic, my body had gone into shock.

Thankfully all went well. I'm weak and tired, but ok. Should get to go home later and will be on bed rest. This year, honestly... 😷😢
