Cooking my issues away

Hi everyone just checking in to see how things are.

Myself, I am getting there, as is the rest of the family.

A bit of cooking therapy tonight while the wife has a well deserved rest.

@jrn

I am doing okay thanks. How were the dumplings?

Re: Cooking my issues away

I just started a Perpetual Stew

Also known as Forever Soup

Broth in the slow cooker with herbs, spices, wine

Add whatever veg and protein is on hand

Eah day, eat a bit and replenish with whatever's on hand plus liquid

The oldest current Perpetual Stew in the world is over 250 years old and still cooking

(Just keep it above 60*C at all times)

Hey @jrn how are you going my friend? I love the recipe you attached too, how did it turn out? 😊

@Chasingsunsets

Sorry for the late reply,  the recipe was great, the kiddos didn't like it, was too spicy for them, but my wife and I loved it, plus because the kids had something else, I had left overs for work today, yay. I really enjoy  cooking from scratch.

Re: Cooking my issues away

@Oaktree the dumplings were great, I bought a cheap Temu dumplings roller and used soft lasagne sheets for them, instead of frozen ones, they turned out great.

Re: Cooking my issues away

That’s a bonus left overs for lunch!! Yum!! @jrn !!

I have seen cheap dumpling presses in Aldi and been so tempted but realistically how often would I really use it? They look useful though if you like dumplings. I think making my own dumplings would be awesome because I don’t like chilli so I could control how much chilli I put in.
