Pottery is a great answer @Ru-bee

I have always wanted to try...acting in a play. I love stories and telling stories and I used to pretend and play act out scenes of my favourite TV shows when I was a child.

I wish I had the confidence.

@AuntGlow

I would love to see you try this!! Maybe you could start with community theatre? @NightFury 💛

Re: Icebreakers time!

I did pottery at schools @AuntGlow . With hands at primary school, glazed it and all. Can’t remember how that turned out. Tried wheel at high school was difficult for me. Don’t think I produced anything,

I’ll stick to gardening I think. Now painter has finished for the day, i might put a cutting in a hanging basket to see how it goes in the bathroom. Will leave it outside for now because we might get some rain and it is warm today, Think it’s going to be warmer tomorrow though.

Hi @Ru-bee @Blackcloud @CaoraDhubh @FearofUnknown

Re: Icebreakers time!

What’s tufting @Ru-bee ??

Re: Icebreakers time!

Hmm tufting? @PeppyPatti I'm going to guess it's got to do with rug making, like I know you use a tufting gun to make rugs

Re: Icebreakers time!

Ooo I agree @Ru-bee @in fact : when my son cooked a meal for me, like his first real meal :

It was pasta

with his twist from my very boring cooking - herbs, some pretty yummy tasting homemade sauce ….

im glad we all agree on pizza 😀

Re: Icebreakers time!

i know what your saying about the people @Captain24  thats well related too id end up in trouble being so wired unable to know what was going on around me.

the ol hypervigilance gets the opposite result of what its trying to do when it cant process everything.

the top fuellers and door slammers are worth getting to at least once just for what they are take ear plugs though they feel amazing and they dont drive as straight as they look on tele.

Re: Icebreakers time!

@Ru-bee I have always wanted to learn to play the piano.

Re: Icebreakers time!

That would be a good one @ENKELI I grew up with an old piano in the house which was always out of tune I think it must have been passed down from another relative as none of us knew how to play in my family. I used to try and learnt hot cross buns haha but that's about the extent of it. I never had the follow through with any musical instrument even though I think it would be amazing to know how to play something. Have you learnt any other instrument before?

Re: Icebreakers time!

@Ru-bee unfortunately I can't read music. Aside from the Recorder at school I didn't learn any instrument.

My brother was able to do extra curricular activities, I was never given the opportunity.

Re: Icebreakers time!

@ENKELI  I taught myself to read music and how to play classical guitar and also the charango (a small South American instrument with 10 double strings 5 doubles traditionally made from an armadillo shell - mine was wood). I used books. I had some guitar lessons once for about 8 weeks. Haven’t played in ages. Can’t seem to find the time and need to cut my nails all the time. Like it but finding the time when I have the energy is hard.
