Re: Life can be a Pain

It is great that you have your landline back @Owlunar and your shoulder is not as bad today. It is certainly a scary prospect having to have another operation on your shoulder but if it fixes the pain then it is probably a really good thing. Hope you have ahd a better day today - much love coming your way Heart

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Owlunar

I'm sorry I haven't been around for you. Glad your computer and phone are working now.
Sounds like surgery is what you need for your shoukder but I can understand your concern. I would be too.
I worry about you been on your own.

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay @Zoe7 @Shaz51 @outlander  and others

My daughter and son-in-law are isolated atm because of a possible coronavirus contact and are waiting for the results of the contacts test so I might not see them tomorrow which is just the state of affairs right now and we are philosophical about it

My shoulder is really bad and I will have to have the operation - I am supposed to wait a few weeks to see if the injection works but I don't think that's sensible  - I can't use my left arm much at all - My Aged Care is fast tracking extra help for me - its rough going right now butI am a suvivor  - officialdom is hard to deal with though

I'm not really happy though

Re: Life can be a Pain

im sorry with all your dealing with @Owlunar its so tough and im glad that your support is going to be fast tracked as well. i really ope they will get that sorted asap for you as right now i think you could really do with it.

you are a survivor indeed but you still can stumble and need some extra help sometimes too.

i also hope the covid tests come back clear for your daughter and son in law. the waiting to find out is so stressful so i hope its not a long wait either

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Shaz51

It's just over a year since my son-in-law had his emergency open heart operation and it has gone back to work after a long time off

He didn't have much warning - he asked his surgeon if he could have had a heart attack and the answer was some kind of miracle that he hadn't died in his sleep

Wow - he is important - he's my daughter's husband and my grand-daughter's father and he has three other children and 7 grandchildren - I care about him too  - I don't just respect him - I admire him.

He has a nickname among friends and family that means he is our Mr Fixit and he is really capable - he can fix anything - I am really glad and thankful we still have him

The only warning he had was a little tightness in his chest - but he has quit smoking which has to be a good thing for his health

Thanks Shaz

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Zoe7 @Shaz51 @outlander @BlueBay @utopia  and others

I have been admitted to a private hospital this afternoon   - my pain specialist works here and ordered strong pain  medication straight away  -  no waiting in the ED here  - fantastic treatment   - amazing though how much pain I had to go through before my case worker realise

Re: Life can be a Pain

Continuing message  people didn't realise how bad the pain was  - this has happened before  - the paramedic did though  - I appreciated that
