Re: Life can be a Pain

@Owlunar I am sorry to hear your shoulder is still troublesome Hon and also that you are not well. I understand that pain at present as my back has been bad for weeks and the last few days I have also been feeling really unwell. For me it is most likely a lack of sleep but whatever the reason it is not ideal for either of us.

I always love when you pop in for however long or short that is Dec. Seeing your little night owl pop up makes me smile every time Heart My sister had an owl on her back fence last week and of course I instantly thought of you - those connections we have are important and do give us a lift.

Look after yourself Dec - no need to respond or post until you are able to do so - but you are thought of and loved Heart

Re: Life can be a Pain

glad to hear you are seeing your doctor tomorrow @Owlunar HeartHeart

Re: Life can be a Pain

Thanks @Zoe7

I think I have an idea about your back pain - lack of sleep and cold weather can upset our physical well being and drag us along from day to day - I think you had a really wet day last week  - what a rough and tough year we have had so far

Melbourne is having a COVID-19 spike  - this is not fun for anyone - my daughter has booked a table for us to have lunch for my birthday next week and I just hope we don't get locked down again on that day  - we miss each other and we make birthdays special. It's tough to know this is a pandemic and millions of people are suffering more

I love the solar-eclipse owl you made  - and your sister had an owl on her fence! Wow! Owls are a good sign for me  - things shall be better 🤗🦉

Re: Life can be a Pain

We had a few really wet days last week but one of those days we saw our June average in one day @Owlunar The rain was good but the kids had cabin fever so were all a bit silly Smiley Tongue

My back is not very good at the moment but has been like that for weeks - I am surviving but looking forward to the holidays to rest and ease the pain a bit. Not sleeping is certainly not helping and combined with not feeling well the last several days it is all taking it's toll Smiley Sad

I really hope you can still go to lunch next week, see your daughter and celebrate your birthday. I also hope you spoil yourself and make it as special a day as you can Heart

We have an owl soft toy that is our class owl - the kids love him but we have had to put him away because of covid - next term we can bring him back out again though as a lot of our restrictions have either eased or gone altogether ...the bonus of living on an island and being so tough on restrictions to begin with 👍

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Zoe7 @Shaz51 @outlander @BlueBay

I saw my GP l late today  - I have to see my pain specialist next week but it looks as if I will have to have the reverse shoulder replacement  - I am not excited about  - actually  - I am not often afraid but I am about this - I am scared about it

It would have been my mother"s 100th birthday today   - it's not my day

I am so tired

Re: Life can be a Pain

Oh @Owlunar not your day at all. Hugs and hugs and hugs to you Heart

Re: Life can be a Pain

Thanks @Zoe7

At least the day is nearly over ,

I managed to work out how to open an app with my server while I waited to see my doctor  - I think  I can report the fault in my land-line

At least I am not alone wading hip deep in green jelly

I am  thinking of you too and your back  - I'm really glad your holidays start really soon if not already

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Zoe7 @Shaz51 @outlander

It's Tuesday and I slept well but I still feel dispaced after learning I will most likely need a reversed shoulder replacement operation

I feel I need time to adjust to this procedure  - oh yeah  - the whole idea freaks me out

I'm watching recorded TV atm  - just taking it easy but I did get through to Telstra this morning to fix the problem with my landline so I have achieved something today  - I just cant make the Telstra app work

Tomorrow I organise a haircut

Thanks friends

Re: Life can be a Pain

This is so much better - I have my landline and my computer working - and this is my contact with the world working properly again and this is a relief

I always find using my mobile phone for text messages and it is so easy to lose a message into the forum with the phone - I am so glad to be able to type my messages

My shoulder isn't quite as touchy today which is a good thing - I do not like the thought of another operation and it would be the third on my shoulder - the same shoulder - it is touchy though

But at least I finally got through to Telstra and the man came very quickly and fixed the fault -
