Re: Partners who chose to stay for the long haul

I’m new to the site and have been reading the discussion where so much I can relate to.  I have been dealing with my husband’s MI for over a year - depression anxiety and relationship OCD.  Is has been truly horrible but things are stabilising with the meds and therapists etc now.  Thing is I’m so exhausted from it all!  I have been with this man for 37 years and he is not the same.  I miss him and our life and just so sad that I know things will always be different. How do you accept that and stay when this MI has destroyed your dreams and plans too!  How do you stop being so resentful and accept it? How can we be happy again when he is still so cold and distant ? 😩
